Introduction

Blairo Maggi is the most powerful man in agriculture, owner of world’s largest soybean producer. He helped in making Soyabean Brazil’s no.1 export and was awarded Greenpeace’s “golden chainsaw award” in 2005.

Blairo Maggi was born on 29 may, 1956. He is a soya plantation farmer and governor of the state of Mato Grosso in brazil.

Maggi is also an owner of the Andre Maggi group, a large company that harvests, processes, and infrastructure projects essential to sustain the soya industry among which are notable: soya terminals, highways, and waterways.

Criticism and justification

the accusers of Maggi hold him responsible for the destruction of the Amazon rainforest. His supporters argue that he is taking brazil forward.
